The sounds of the African bush surround this open-air experiential lodge. The lack of enclosure is designed to allow the environment to engulf your senses. A "deprogramming", if you will.

The layout of the building itself is simple with two equally sized bedrooms, separate showers and shared restroom facilities. The programme of the space is distributed to prioritise lounging outdoors and feeling one with the sand, timber, water and fire elements as you look out over the grassy horizon. The cooking facilities, or lack thereof, may force you to enjoy having to focus on providing for your basic needs - connecting you with your human physicality at the core.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN

Rattan accents, woven fabrics and timber features, bring to life the natural and minimalist monotoned architecture. The sandy natural look that draws from Bali inspired design is also seamlessly fitting for this region of the world. The hot but dry climate naturally draws these sorts of tones from the natural environment. The flowy drapery and swooping hammocks define the sense of vacation in this space.

Definitely made for the brave and nature driven enthusiasts as mosquito nets and a roof over your head serve as your only protection from the elements. That, and hidden electrical wires and ha-ha walls that will prevent MOST of the indigenous wildlife from wondering into your bedroom. Exciting, isn't it?!
