Nestled in the Stellenbosch wine farm region of the Western Cape, lies an up-and-coming residential eco and lifestyle estate. This 3 bedroom home gave us a chance to explore a design that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living, with generous openings that let in the sweet sweet nectar of natural light and fresh air. With views of the lush greenery and mountainous landscape of Stellenbosch, the architecture is somewhat secondary to the overall calm the user should experience in this home. We have aimed to keep it simple and let the fusion of architecture, nature and wine do the talking.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN

From the start of our design process, it was clear that the star of the show was inarguably the outstanding view of the mountains from the site - which became the inspiration for the focal-point framing that this steel framed structure encourages. As one arrives at the entrance on the South Facade, they are met with a picturesque sneak peek straight through the building.

As your eye is drawn into the space, you will notice the elaborate high ceilings that compliment the feeling of freedom and abundance, although a cozy lounge, fireplace and earthy kitchen design provides a homely grounding within.
